The book revolves around Ivan Ilyich’s slow descent into madness and death. I found it to be a good read, not necessarily my usual genre but it was a short read so I gave it a go. I didn’t understand why the last 20 pages were there, I didn’t find them very relevant?

I have no problems with this and I really enjoyed it as it's a really quick read! i love how it was translated too it's easy to digest but you can tell the words are picked with effort and conscientiousness but it's not a 5 star for me. great quotes and interesting themes about death and the purpose of life. would've had more of a chance to grip me if it were longer but the length makes sense
