Just could not get into it. I’m sure lots of people would love this book because it reminded me of first wives club and the book club. I personally could not get into it.

Just the right kind of chatter I wanted to fill my head with.

An insightful story about four independent, ambitious women in their 40s, exploring female friendships, work-life balance, and the pros and cons of being working women in the modern world. I’m not quite keen on this book but was an enjoyable read.

Very readable page-turner about female friendship, relationships, working lives, getting older...The downside for me was that I kept confusing the characters. Whilst Trollope tries to distinguish characters "the single mother" "the gay one" etc...they just blur into one. It was a pleasant diversion but unmemorable.

I was bored by this story of a group of English friends in their 40s who, through various struggles in their lives, support each other or let each other down. Just wasn’t engaged in any of the characters or their dilemmas.

I really enjoyed the concept of a group of friends with their own issues coming together to help out the (in my opinion) main character. There was enough subtlety in the describing of a person with Alzheimers and how this affects the people trying to take care of them. Refreshing and at the same time a quick read, would recommend!
