ok. yes this was a good book but to be perfectly honest i Struggled to finish it. i did really like it and i love the story of emma. i loved seeing where so much of the dialogue from emma 2020 came from!! however. i was lowkey not interested in most of the book. emma as a written character just did not do it for me and although she was skillfully written she was just not a sympathetic character. however the book was majorly improved by the presence of jane fairfax… my beloved 🥰 jane’s plot was actually so interesting and poignant to me and i really really loved her and felt for her. anyway that’s all i have to say about that. justice for jane fairfax u deserved sm better queen 💖

What a nightmare.

I don't recommend anyone use this version to listen...

The audible chapters are cut incorrectly, making it only twelve chapters, each over an hour long.

If you're someone who needs to rewind, or needs to refresh on what you just read I DO NOT recommend this particular version of the audiobook.

The reader is good, everything is fine, but for someone who needs to rewind chapters and reread.... I barely understood what was going on. The only reason I did know was because of the recent film adaptation.

this is the best austen book by far, i love how much we get to explore emma’s character and not only through a romantic lense.
