This book is not the audience for me. While I would want to try something else from the author, I found the characters to unlikable to find anyone to latch on to in the tense turning plod of the plot. I feel the mystery is interesting in concept, but feels like it should be character driven versus a plot b of the story. The writing is fun, and I did the audiobook version enjoyed the narrator.

When her twin sister Zelda is presumed dead in a barn fire, Ava tries to piece together clues about what happened in the months and years leading up to her sister's death--if she's even really dead to begin with. A pretty dismal depiction of alcoholism and dementia, caring for an ill parent, and loss of self, though not entirely without a glimmer of hope in there about being found again.
