Split stories with time moving differently to the characters that we see. I really questioned why one of the sons was even a focus because he seemed like he just wanted to be disappeared. Still the ending for the family was pretty horrifying and tragic, but I enjoyed the way Finlay laid out the story. Certianly had me guessing.

This was a bubblegum-for-the-brain read. I rolled my eyes a bunch but it wasn’t so bad that I had to quit reading.

Got to love it when the author makes it hard to solve the crime in advance! I almost always have murder mysteries figured out long before the ending, but this one was full of twists and turns... In fact I think I have whiplash!

WHOA - this is going to take some time to wrap my head around. The story moves pretty consistently from beginning to end, and there is a LOT going on. I found some of the twists more exciting than others; some are a stretch, or I’m just not understanding. It kept me on the edge of my seat, though, so points for that!

Neck-breaking pace, suspense through the whole story, well-developed, relatable characters and a heartbreaking and nearly perfect ending. Absolutely brilliant book
