This was really freaking good! Made me tear up and gasp and kept me interested the entire time! The bad guy was a little obvious but the twists and turns were so well planned that I didn’t care! Highly recommend!!!!

Every Last Fear by Alex Finlay is the first full novel that I read in 2022. It is a must read in my opinion. I discovered this author last December when I read a sneak peek of his next novel which will be released on March 1st. Ever Last Fear is an easy read. The story flows beautifully. The chapters are short and to the point but they connect together so well. Matt Pine tries to have a normal life despite the fact that his family is haunted by the conviction of Matt’s older brother Danny for a crime he didn’t commit. Matt swears that he saw his brother pushing a wheelbarrow with a body in it. A Netflix docuseries about the case only made things worse. One day Matt is approached by an FBI agent named Sarah Keller who informs him that his parents and two younger siblings were found dead in a vacation house in Tulum, Mexico. He has to fly there in 24 hours to identify the bodies. From that moment on, the twists just keep coming. I will admit that I thought I knew how this story would end. I was wrong.

I recommend it for fans of crime dramas, thrillers and suspense.

2 stars seemed harsh but I feel harsh because I’m so disappointed :( I’ve been waiting for this one and it seemed right up my alley! A strong start that quickly lost me. The writing was a bit cheesy (introducing the friend group as “So-and-so was next”... reminded me a bit of characters looking in the mirror and describing themselves for the reader

this was good! it was really interesting all of the way through but i felt like the ending fell flat next to the expectation the story built. also there were a few too many pov's which made it hard to connect with the characters but all in all i liked this

Talk about a thriller that starts at 100 mph and never slows down. What a ride!

This book had a lot of twists that I wasn’t expecting, which made it a good book with a good ending. I think some chapters made the book a little long with some unnecessary fillers, but overall a good mystery!
