I was not expecting to love this one as much as I did! I thought the world and the story was very fresh. I know a lot of people have said that they’ve seen it before but I haven’t so it was really fresh! I also don’t understand everyone hating on it as much as they are. It was honestly a really good story and everyone just wants a reason to hate something. I loved this one so much that I had to immediately get the second one to keep living in this world! I can’t wait to see how Grim and Isla grow because I 100% believe they are it! I will not accept Oro being endgame even though he has been very precious!

I struggled to connect and stay interested for the first 200 pages. BUT she hooked me - I eventually fell headfirst and plowed through the second half. I will read #2.

P.S. #teamgrim

This book started off really slow and boring and I wasn't sure if I was going to like it. But then the action started and I got really into it. I felt really engaged with all the characters. The plot twist at the end was one that I was really not expecting-not that l'm usually very good at guessing the plot twists anyway. I did really love the ending. Also loved Grim and Isla together but also really loved Oro and Isla together. I cannot wait to read nightbane when it is out in paperback.
