An epic retelling of a greatly loved story. Well worth a read if you want to see a completely different take on the curse and the witch who cast it.

Enchant by Demelza Carlton - Excellent Retelling! I really enjoyed this retelling of Beauty and the Beast. Not for kids but well written. Had several excellent twists and a really wretched villain. Exceptional world building in this one! I highly recommend it! Happy Reading!

I got this book for free on Amazon and Beauty and the Beast is my favorite Disney tale. The book reads like a free book. The beginning felt rushed and it is short. With some editing and flushing of the story, I think it could be good. It's a new and interesting take on the story but I just didnt feel very into the characters. The bones of the story is there, but the life of it is missing.

The story of this beauty and the beast retelling is good enough: Belle is a witch and unknowingly cursed the beast herself. For story I‘ll give the book 2 stars. It was so badly written though that at times I actually said WTF out loud while reading. Add not just a few plot holes in the mix and you‘ll be confused quite often. IMO there are way better fairytale retellings out there!

Another re-telling of Beauty and the Beast. This one follows the original a bit more than "Beautiful Beast", which I recently read.

It was pure pleasure to listen to the narrator, Mary Sarah, who seemed to be a perfect match for this kind of story! I really liked Zuleika (or Lady Belle, as Prince Vardan called her), as she was a very capable young woman, with her heart in the right place. The prince was likeable as well, if a bit stereotyped.

***SPOILER ALERT!***

The only thing I had some issues with was that I found it quite unrealistic that it took Zuleika so long to realise that it was her own spell that had cursed the prince. On the other hand, it had become a completely different book if she had...!
