I thoroughly enjoyed this. Antagonism to love, great banter, politics and journalism. Basically my own perfect, pure form of romance crack. I also loved the family dynamics. Definitely want to read the rest of the series.

3.5 stars - mega readable. The entire cast of characters was charming and felt like they had a real history to them, which was nice - I know it's because this is a series, but still! More than anything I really appreciated the handle Rochon had on dramatic thrust to the story - there are things that could've knocked that could've knocked my liking of the 'ship off-course, and things that could've made the sideplot a little frustrating too, but everyone here is fundamentally good and likeable, and she keeps that well in view throughout. I always appreciate that!

Oh my goodness! Ezra and Mack went from barely tolerating each other (even if they had known each other for 20 years) to being all tingly in each other's presence, and I was totally there for it!

I really enjoyed this enemies turned lovers story between Ezra Holmes and Mackenza Arnold. I also got a big shock towards the end of the story. Great read.

Mack and Ezra are a bit at odds at the beginning of this story. She's a politician, and he's the investigative journalist who's been stalking her life for months looking for dirty deals. She's also best friend with his sister, and their paths cross regularly, making it hard for them to both ignore their mutual attraction.
The story didn't quite keep the tension level up throughout the whole story, but the characters were delightful, so I didn't really mind.
