So much more angst than expected and I loved it. It's smutty w a good story. I enjoyed it, liked the mystery aspect, even tho it was more than I expected. Also unexpected knotting 😂 altho no mpreg, thank god

A solid 3 stars kind of book.
I was bored and wanted something easy to listen to, nothing too complicated or convoluted, with some explicit sex scenes, and this was exactly it. A sort of beach read, if beach reads were MM supernatural romance with knotting you know?
Main character is very bratty, love interest is very grumpy, so if that's your jam this book is for you!

What the heck was even going on in this book??
Nothing made sense. The romance didn't make sense, the drama didn't make sense, the whole plot really didn't make any sense either. The mc was annoying and his lover was bipolar. Nothing about these characters was likable.
A definite no from me.

It was ok- the hero had some spunky talk that I liked but ultimately they seemed trigger happy (sorry for the pun) and yelled at each other a lot. It didn't seem as mature? Due to the yelling at each other and jumping to wild conclusions.
But it was cute and sweet once they finally figured out they wanted each other and there are some hot scenes between them. The whole knotting thing? Shudder.
Not sure I want to continue, but it was ok. 3.5 stars
