This book and characters are so amazing!!
The writing is impeccable!
I don’t have words to do it justice.
One of my favorite reads ever!
It wrecked me in the best way.
I love every single thing about this story.
The most incredible characters with such an emotional and unique journey.
I smiled and I cried for these incredible characters.
LOVE

for a book with so many flaws, i enjoyed this soooo much. the first book i gave three stars, this was a four stars until page 333 where i made a note that i had ‘stopped breathing’. omfg. griffin. i love him. i love them both. i actually would love an adaptation of this. omg all my feelings!!! is this a fantasy? do i like fantasies now?

OMG! This book is EVERYTHING!

What would you do? Who would you choose?

These are the questions you will be asking yourself as you read this one. Because you are going to put your self in Swayze’s shoes, and you are going to question all of her choices. You are going hurt when she hurts, you are going to feel all that she feels.

Are you going to cry? I’ll own up to it, I definitely shed more than one tear with this one and I am not a cryer. But this is what Jewel does, she writes thought provoking and emotionally challenging stories. She breaks all the molds and writes from the heart and leaves everything on that page. I don’t know how she does it, but each time I pick up a book by her my life gets put on pause and nothing gets done til I finish.

Read this series, go on Swayze’s journey, be a part of this world. It’s a ride I’m not going to forget, these characters are going to stick with me for a long time.

5+ stars

Book duets can be a risky business. Expectations are high when the first book is well received. Transcend was easily a 5-star read for me, so Epoch had huge shoes to fill. Jewel E. Ann makes it look easy because Epoch stole my breath time and again. I put my real life on pause while I indulged in every single absorbing page. Eating is so overrated anyway.

This mystery and atypical love triangle doesn’t lose any steam when picking up after the shocking cliffhanger in book 1. The tempo in this book allows the reader time to savor a deeper connection with Swayze, Griffin, and Nate, while also conveying a sense of urgency and foreboding.

Epoch is perhaps even more passionate, unpredictable and suspenseful than Transcend, which really blows the mind. Questions of reincarnation, destiny, and free will are woven throughout this epic love story. I have incredible affinity for all the characters, and the book has such thought-provoking complexity that I find myself still thinking about it more than 24 hours after finishing. It’s not often that I get choked up while reading, but this book gave my tear ducts a good workout. The ending is absolute perfection, and I’m sure it will give everyone feels upon satisfying feels.

Haunting and stirring, the Transcend Duet has already earned a spot on my 2018 Favorites list.

*I voluntarily read an early copy of this book. This does not affect my opinion or the content of this honest review.*

this book made me cry several times because i was so invested in the characters and their lives. I absolutely couldnt put this book down. the only thing stopping me from giving this book a higher rating was the ending. i really dont think there was any way for this story to have a completely happy ending but the epilogue especially just left me feeling … sad i suppose even though i really don’t think it was supposed to come off that way. overall a fantastic book that i don’t regret reading one bit
