I enjoyed this as a light, comforting, PJO universe read. However, you could tell Riordan was sharing the authorship, and that just made me miss Riordan's writing.

The plot felt quite light, with more emphasis on the characters. I think that was the theme of this book - character growth, showing that everyone has light and dark, and representing a mlm relationship. However, I miss having a better plot! They spent more time talking and thinking about their relationship than actually fighting monsters or using their powers. I felt like there weren't any strong motivations for the main villain, Nyx - she just 'didn't like change'.

I really loved reading about Nico and Will again, especially in their own book! I love them as individuals, as halfbloods and as boyfriends. The plot did get pretty repetitive, in my opinion (like spurts of action split up by both of them taking naps - LIKE SO MANY NAPS). Otherwise, I don't have many comments, this was a good book!

Gay, gay, and more gay. This book had me sobbing every couple of pages towards the end.

This is a complex, sometimes messy, yet HEALTHY relationship depicted AMAZINGLY. It isn’t a perfect relationship, because that’s not what Nico nor Will are. It’s AMAZING
