Maybe 3.5? Like another said, author tells, not shows. Frustrating. Had potential, especially if longer.

Leah helps Jackie when her car goes off the road in a snowstorm, they spend the weekend together due to the weather, and it's clear that there is a connection between them but as Jackie is 'straight' she is not as open to it.

Since the death of her partner, Leah lost her artistic flow, however, when watching Jackie playing in the snow, Leah finds a newfound artistic inspiration and goes on to paint many canvases in a new series. Doing this makes her also realise that she is attracted to Jackie and shows her one morning, and not in the best way.

When Jackie returns home she gets a new job and breaks up with her boyfriend after realising that she indeed is a Lesbian. Comes out to her mother and starts to embrace her new life.

A chance encounter at an art event brings Leah and Jackie together again, it is undeniably clear that their connection is strong and that there is an attraction there.

Will Jackie be able to mend Leah's broken heart and will Leah be able to open up fully to Jackie?

This book was wonderfully written, about a journey of self-discovery and a journey of mending a broken heart. I thoroughly enjoyed it and highly recommend it! The narration was fantastic as always by Abby.

Story rating. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Spice rating.
