I am absolutely heartbroken and inspired. I knew from the start of this series that my heart was going to be toyed with but God, the heartwrench i feel. Music transcends words. And if music be the food of love, play on.

A satisfying, realistic and beautiful final volume to a series. Nothing felt forced to wrap things up, nor did it stretch out just to add one more volume. Will read again when my heart can take it.

This is the perfect ending to a fantastic series that explores love, friendship, grief, loss, healing, and more, all in the context of music performance. The conclusion is inevitable, and handled beautifully. When I re-read this series, I'll want to have canelé nearby.
