The description for this book was that it had a protagonist similar to Bertie Wooster so I thought it might be interesting. And I agree that the humor is very much like P. G. Wodehouse. The prose got a little overly flowery in the end and the mystery was a little too convoluted but overall a very fun story.
Antony "Anty" Boisjoly has just buried his father and gets called to help out his old friend Evelyn "Fiddlesticks" Fairfax whose uncle is dead by defenestration. On the train up, he meets a man in a trenchcoat; the man turns out to be the Detective Inspector Wittersham assigned to the case. That inspector is also focused on making Fiddly the bad guy. But Anty was on crew with the man and knows he couldn't be the murderer. Anty's not adept at solving murders but he was helpful in school so Evelyn is counting on him to save the day and hopefully so Evelyn can then live happily ever after with the visiting young woman.

I am sure this is very funny and charming, but I just couldn’t get into it. I finish my gave up about half way through.

A try hard mashup of Christie-style mystery with PGW, the result just a tedious pastiche.

Weird. PG Wodehouse meets murder mystery but with out the clarity of expression and plot of Wodehouse. Probably not for me, but possibly my mood or early series teething difficulties.

Anthony Boisjoly is an English man in his late twenties, he runs a Gentlemen's Club but has a quite special gift, that is: solve complicated things. This is why his good friend, Fiddles, ask him to come to his uncle's castle because he was thrown by the window awfully dying, and nobody knows how, why or who did it. As the door to the study was closed from the inside. Could Anty really help here?

This was such a fun and cosy mystery! It has the right length so, it's not too short neither too long. I genuinely liked the plot, and it has some amazing plot twist, that honestly, I didn't expect! So even though the main plot is just one mystery, the story it's constantly refreshing and never boring! At first, the names and who was who was a bit confusing, but once you're inside the story you get it all. The same name dynamic reminds me a little to a One Hundred Years of Solitude. That family is crazy is pretty much the same name over and over. But I like it when it has this complexity it adds another taste to the story.

I loved the characters they were all different with their own drama and background. I loved Anty, he's so fun and witty. Sometimes he was on the verge of being a tad annoying but never crossed that line.
I really like the writing style, quite fun, dynamic and engaging. It kept your curiosity alive!

If you like fun light-hearted mystery this is definitely your book! I can't wait to read the next Anty's mystery!
I want to thank P.J. Fitzsimmons for kindly give me a complimentary copy of this book for an honest review.
