Solid retelling of Doyle's story in a way that children can enjoy. Not my favorite graphic novel ever, but a thoroughly enjoyable read.

Maybe I got used to reading the short stories that Hound of the Baskervilles feels a few chapters too long. Also out of all Doyle's stories I've read so far, this is the one where you can really feel his interest in the occult packed between the lines -- the man was practically begging to write a horror novel.

Nevertheless, still a solid Sherlock Holmes story.

This is my first Sherlock Holmes, and apart from wishing I had started with the first one, I was not disappointed. I love the characters of Holmes and Watson, their cleverness, wit , loyalty and sense of adventure, and I love the setting - place and time. Such fun.

Re-read for work. Possibly using next year for a lesson. Always good to revisit a favorite.

One of the great Watson adventures (Holmes is rather secondary in this one!), beautifully narrated by Derek Jacobi.
