The plot was entirely nonsensical but it had some of the best spice I have ever read

Ughhhh so I have decided to dnf this one. Im honestly not sure if I’ll go back and finish it I honestly may just look at the end at some point.

First off I was SO excited for this to come out but it just did not live up to the hype. There was a ton of spice and like no plot which isn’t a bad thing if I’m in the mood for a read like that but with how long the book is the lack of plot was driving me insane.

Their reasoning for “owning” her was so empty I legit was like wtf. If I read the word darling one more time I’m going to shoot myself. Also like the spice with the guys one on one was very closed door and was only described if crystal was involved. Felt weird to me.

Ones pussy does not “thump”, I’m going to have nightmares. Omg this is all so mean but it was just too cringe and didn’t live up to the hype I had after book two. Im salty.

Have I read anything by Clarissa Wild before... NO
Will I be reading more by her... HELL YES

I had read and heard so many good reviews about her books and added them to my TBR but had not gotten round to reading them.  I signed up for ARC of Vile Boys (totally not expecting to receive it) so was over the moon when I opened an email to say ARC had been sent.

Vile Boys is the third book in the Spine Ridge University series.  It was so good and so hot.  The spice was non stop.  I have read 13 books so far in 2024 and this is easily one of my favourites.

This one starts off with Crystal at a party at Tartarus House and where she sees Ares, Blaine and Caleb.

It is a case of being in the wrong place at the wrong time when she witnesses a murder.

Worried that she will say anything about it, Ares, Blaine (he loves reading romance books) and Caleb decide they need to silence her...by threatening her mother.

Crystal has no intentions of letting them get away with this, so while she agrees to be at their beck and call, she is not going down without a fight.

While there is a lot of spice in this book there are also plenty of twists and turns that kept me on the edge of my seat.

Even though there was mention of characters from the previous books, which I will be going back to, I did not feel I had missed anything by reading this one first.

So if you want a book that is reverse harem and is filled with lots of dirty/spicy scenes, murder, angst, secrets & lies, betrayal, plot twists, then this is a must read.

You want to know what happens to Crystal from Evil Boys? Then read Vile Boys and you will know who, what, when, where, and how. And let me tell you, it’s one hell of a ride that I didn’t want to end.

Crystal is shy, sweet, and pure, so we think. Once she meets Ares, Caleb, and Blaine, things start to turn into this crazy train that you don’t want to get off of. Caleb’s and Blaine’s banter made me giggle and the way Ares was with Caleb and Crystal made me blush.

The spice was also spicing as well. And please check the TW before you read this book.

This is a dark, sexy, wild ride. I would read the other books in the series first, as the characters and location do overlap. The action and twists are non stop, but the character development keeps up with the pace. The hot scenes are plentiful, written in a fantastic manner and might overheat your kindle. Heed the author's trigger warnings - the themes are very dark, but damn - so HOT!
