Really enjoyed throughout but ending felt abrupt and not quite resolved.

Great book! Definite page-turner. I don’t usually read murder mysteries but I’m hooked on this character. Docked stars for cursing but to be expected I guess in this type of book

Was a bit sceptical at first because of the magician stuff but the details in the murders are so interesting! Really well written.

this was such an engaging book!

books don’t have to be incredibly articulate with fancy vocabulary for me to enjoy them and this was the perfect example

i loved the plot (damian was such an interesting character)

I have never seen Mr. Mayne's television show. Yet, after reading this book I am going to check it out. I like the way the author used his profession and experience and incorporated it into a murder mystery book. Not just a book but the start of a really, good series. Featuring a multi-complex and ever changing female lead, Jessica Blackwood. I say this because I know there is more to Jessica than meets the eye. She is just coming out of her shell and will only get stronger as the series progresses. The way she thought of things that others did not in the non practical sense was great. Of course, I admit Jessica did have help. In the form of her own fanatic stalker named Damian. Jessica knows nothing about Damian other than he is her guardian angel. I can't wait to see more of Damian as well. Angel Killer is a must read.

Very interesting first book, FBI agent that was a professional Magician hunting serial killer. Great summer pool read.

95% of the book is fantastic. The ending didn't do it for me. I actually had to read the last few chapter again because I was expecting a little more from the ending.

Still, don't let that dissuade you from reading this book because. Once you start reading this you're in for one heck of a ride.

My sincere thanks to Harper Collins for providing an e-galley of this work to be published March 23, 2014.

Magic in the hands of law enforcement, what a premise! Watch the illusions unfold as real life magician, Andrew Mayne, casts his fictional character, FBI Agent, Jessica Blackwood who uses the tricks of her former trade to catch a serial killer? They call her the witch to the killer's warlock. "More please" this reader cries.
