I loved this! The artwork is so pretty and it gave a new vibe to one of my all time favorite books!

This manga is absolutely beautiful! The illustrations and details are stunning, and perfectly intertwine with the dialog. Pride and Prejudice is a classic, and I loved seeing it put into a new medium. I see this book as an asset in any school library to introduce to classics to students. I'm looking forward to reading the other mangas in this series!

a fun adaptation, but not better than the original or the movie adaptation in my opinion!

Read- August 2019 for The N.E.W.Ts (My E in Charms)
- Trust me, rating this anything less than 5 stars hurts but this 'adaptation' of Pride and Prejudice just ain't IT. Pride and Prejudice is my favourite book of all time and I've wanted to read this manga for so long but I really didn't like it. The back bone of P&P is still in the story but the writing just didn't fit, I really doubt Elizabeth Bennett would say 'No way' as a regency era woman. I also didn't like the portrayal of Jane and Lydia was just a bitch.
funny lighthearted relaxing medium-paced
Plot or Character Driven: Character
Strong character development: Yes
Loveable characters: Yes
Diverse cast of characters: No
Flaws of characters a main focus: Yes

This is so much fun! I love the original book and the movies, but this is just so fun! My favorite is Mrs Bennet but it is a fantastic adaption. Funny actually! Just knowing the characters and having them drawn like this is hilarious!

I highly recommend this! I want to buy the others :)

I loved this adaptation of Pride and Prejudice. I received a digital copy for review from the publisher through net galley. As a hard core Jane Austen fan, I'm hard to please when it comes to adaptations, but this version managed to keep the essence of the story, while also conforming to the format and style of manga. This is one of the best graphic adaptations I've ever read of any of Austen's works. I would recommend it Janeites and to fans of Manga looking for an introduction to Austen's works.

I received this book for free from the publisher in exchange for an honest review. This in no way affected my opinion of the book, or the content of my review.

That was such a fun manga!
I'm not really used to reading manga, and eventually when I try I have trouble doing so because of the right to left format.
But this one didn't bother me in that sense, because it was such an enthralling story.

Of course, I have read Pride & Prejudice a long time ago, but the story has had so many retellings is difficult to forget what has happened. Even though I already knew what was coming, I still found this manga captivating and at some point I just really wanted to keep reading to see where the story would go.

I was an adaptation, I think it worked really well - it stayed true to the original while at the same time adding its own uniqueness to the universe of Jane Austen adaptations. I don't think it is a substitute for the original text in any way, but it's perfect for those who are already fans of the book and would like to revisit it quickly. In fact, it made me want to re-read P&P because its been so long since I read and I feel like there are nuances to the story that simply cannot be conveyed in a short format.

The only problem I had while reading is that I did find some of the panels to be a little cheesy - like lots of flowers around the girls and the highlighting of characters emotions - but that's a very manga thing and it's just something I'm not really used to since I prefer western graphic novels. Not that mangas are bad, but I don't really think they are for me.

I still thought this was a great read and I recommend picking it up if you like Jane Austen!

Wow! What a great manga! I don't usually read manga, but when I saw that this book in particular was going to be a retelling of one of my all time favorite stories, Pride and Prejudice, I decided to give it a go! It did not disappoint! I would not recommend it if you have not read the original version, as it is the best way to initially experience the novel, but to supplement it or reread, it was wonderful. I could easily see teacher (like myself) using this to supplement the classic curriculum in their classrooms. What a great way to experience and a "see" this classic novel! Wonderful!

I really don't write a lot of reviews about the books I read but I must say I loved this book. I have a really hard time reading classics just because of the way they are written so this was the perfect book for me. The illustrations were very beautiful and the writing made it very easy to understand the story. This book has made me reconsider reading Pride and Prejudice.
