Nop. Nop. NOOOOOOOO.
Another failed P&P adaptation. There are things that will never be okay, and that's Jane Austen and manga. Each their own, NetGalley review or not.

I loved the art! A good adaptation of Jane Austen’s Pride and Prejudice. The story itself was very humorous and fast paced, especially so since it is the manga version.
What's not to like about 'Pride and Prejudice'? I thought the adaptation was well done, and the illustrations were also well done.
Great adaptation of a classic. This is fun and easy to read with vivid artwork.

~4.5 Prejudice Stars~
I am a loud and proud Austen fan (especially Pride and Prejudice), so when I found a manga interpretation of this beloved classic, I just had to jump at the chance to read this one. And I am so glad I did.
The illustrations were simple, elegant, and at times even outright comical--especially where the dreadfully persistent Mr. Collins was concerned. His drawing kept reminding me of Cogsworth from Beauty and the Beast.
Yeah, I know.
Anyway, other than the comedy ofCogsworth's Mr. Collins' drawing, the only other real complaint I have about the illustrations was ALL. THE. DAMN. ROSES. Seriously, they were everywhere, even where it didn't make any sense for the characters to be holding flowers. Yes, it made certain scenes/characters look more beautiful and enticing at times, but overall I think they were overused.
On the positive side, I loved my Darcy and Elizabeth. They matched my imaginings of them that were first brought about and ultimately shaped by the 2005 film with Knightley and McFadden. There was even an illustration depicting Darcy as a vampire, hah! In addition, I also loved how they incorporated my absolute favorite scene from the film (the "rain scene") into this adaptation, seeing as it's not in the original Austen novel. Overall, another great addition to my graphic novel shelf.

I have never read the original book, but I already knew the basic storyline from a TV version. I enjoyed this adaptation a lot, especially since it highlighted the hilarity in the story.
This was a pretty decent retelling of the story that stayed close to the original feel of the novel. I did think that it did minimize some of Mrs. Bennett's nature and the depth of the consequences of her own actions by making her chibi and 'cute' all the time but still it was a fun read.
Cute, but some of the changes to the story bothered me. Also the hair… weird choice to do ponytails for the Bennet sisters, and Darcy’s random hair strands were kinda weird
