I read the edition illustrated by Tove Jansson. Love her!

The story itself was a little repetitive. Also, why does everyone hate Bill the Lizard?

I just love this story with all my heart. It's written beautifully imaginative. On top of that, in this edition, the lay-out is as fantastical as the story itself. Not to mention the illustrations.

The story begins with promise but quickly becomes repetitive, focusing too much on Alice’s constant size changes just to pass through doors. Initially intriguing, this soon turns monotonous.

The narrative picks up again once Alice enters the garden, where the game of croquet adds some excitement.

Alice's constantly interrupting others while they are speaking is really annoying.

The ending is good - revealing the entire adventure as a dream, with the characters and events symbolizing real-world sounds like wind and cattle.

Sarcasm is used throughout—amusing in some places, but overdone and off-putting in others.

How can anyone not love this? Such imagination and brilliance all packed into this fantastic piece of literature.

Definitely could have lived without the third half of this one.
