Especially enjoyed it because of where it was set. As an ex-Bristolian I enjoyed seeing places I used to hang out in mentioned in the book. The mystery was also intriguing as author peppered little suspicious behaviours and attitudes throughout the book, allowing for multiple potential killers.

Average book. Honestly, I expected more due to the plot summary. I felt like it started off really strong. The first half of the book had such a great set up, but the second half of the book just did not have a great closing. It could have been done better.

I always enjoy a Claire Douglas book and this was no exception. It’s not my favourite Claire Douglas book but I liked that it kept me guessing throughout. I listened to this one as an audiobook and found it easy to keep up with all the characters. I worked out parts of the ending but was very satisfied with how it all came together & I loved the additional twists I had not predicted. I always find Claire’s stories engaging and I think she does a good job of building characters and keeping you engaged. If you like Claire’s books and haven’t read this one then add if to your TBR pile.
