OW pregnancy
when done wrong is little more than a plot contrivance to maximize angst and conflict between MCs in silly, stupid ways. It's tedious, not dark.

This book was a refreshing departure on the authors other books.... I did like the fact of having a strong female character. Also I read a comment about the fact that Sylvia is such a bad ass and then softens... Well I think that is exactly how she had to behave... She had been completely lost for 16 years! Just the fact that she survived her hell with still having a heart and compassion and able to share love in any capacity after what she survived is amazing! And the fact that she is able to get her Creed back... HER CREED back... That of course will start tumbling those walls she had to construct in order to survive... And she was able to find her old self again and let that shine through... I absofreaking loved the back story on the characters and the back and forth on them as well. You got to meet who they were to be able to truly appreciate who they became separately and then finally able to come together and be who they really are with each other... Great story!

"You didn't let that shit break you. You didn't bow to it. You fought it."

Went back to look at this one again and I hate it even more. Not my idea of romance... not at all. What a loser!

I dislike this one the most of this series, because it is so heartbreaking.
Spoiler I was do disappointed in Creed. SO very very disappointed, that he never tried to see how she was doing after he left. That he took the word of psychos that she would be OK. How can I respect such an idiot, even if he was young and they were scary. He grows older and still thinks of her, but still just lets it lie because he (lucky him) has moved on, married and had kids. The onus was on him as he was the one to leave and she was the one broken, but he totally dropped the ball. Guess I am the unforgiving type. I didn't think he deserved a second chance...

I really really like second chance romances.

I loved Sylvie. She was a strong heroine, rough around the edges but so sweet and loving underneath all that armor.

Creed - man oh man - I am utterly and completely in love with Tucker Creed. Like bone-deep in love with him.

" I want your clothes in my closet. I wanna hear your voice in my house when you're talkin' on the phone. I want you sittin' beside me when we're watchin' TV.I want shit you like in my fridge. I want your razors in my shower. I want my roof over your head. Your car in my garage. I want to give you what I should have given you for sixteen years. As good as you deserve. A showplace. A place where I can make you happy" - Creed

I loved their story, their intensely deep connection. I loved that we got the back story in snippets, it made their past that much more poignant.

I also really enjoyed the pieces of Knight we saw from the first book in this series :)

Reread 11/15 - I still really like this one. Creed is so sweet with Sylvie and Sylvie rocks. I just love her. They are really great together too.

Originally read 3/15 - This was a good one! I really liked Creed and Sylvie. I didn't understand why it took Creed 16 years to find her again though. But I liked them together and they were definitely meant to be together.

at first it was a little difficult to get the rhythm of this story, but once I did I loved it. I loved the characters and their stories. Even the rawness of their language just fit who they were. I definitely an to read more books by Kristen Ashley.
