Ok, if you're looking for a shorter read, a small town romance with a billionaire wolf shifter and cute barkery witch with magical baking then I've got you. This book is a perfect, cozy, refreshing, spicy read for in between bigger books. All aspects of this book are woven together so effectively that it creates a beautiful story in a world that I can't wait to read more about in coming books.
We being our story with Nettie, a young witch whose issues with her magic has brought her to work at a bakery called Magickal Morsels where she works to pay for her training as a nurse. One day as she is working the closing shift in comes Connor, our wolf shifter billionaire, looking for some magically infused baked goods to help him close a business deal. There initial interaction is heated to say the least, and after a series of misunderstandings, heated conversations and fated interventions you read as they become closer. However, the question is will they be able to overcome everything holding them back to find happiness?
Nettie is an adorable character, and she has a bat called Honey which is her familiar, come on Fleur you're doing me in with all the cuteness. You can't help but feel for Nettie, working so hard to make it on her own and keeping all her troubles to herself, she's worn down and frustrated but still works so hard to be kind and considerate to everyone around her. Connor on the other hand is abrasive from the outset, with a log of weight on his shoulders he used his grumpy demeanour to get what he wants done as quickly as possible. Of course he didn't account for Nettie coming into his life and all the chaos that fate would bring him. Interactions between Nettie and Connor are balanced between heated, spicy and soft and it rounds out the story well. I enjoyed reading their story, and I'm a sucker for a pet name so when he calls her "little nettle" I was done for.
The pacing on this book was medium/fast which I enjoyed immensely with this shorter read. I think the world building of this small town was wonderful for the quaint shops and the numerous quirky and unique side characters. I adore a small town aspect in any book so this was perfect for me and only drew me into the book further. The storyline itself was wonderful, gloriously easy to follow and become enraptured with, I enjoyed every second.

This story was an absolute delightful read! It was sweet, spicy and just perfect if you’re a fan of quick romance reads. Nettie and Connor were perfection together! I always love the insta-lust we get with fated mates reads, but I especially loved how Connor tried to fight it a bit. Definitely upped the spicy tension between these two and kept me wanting more interactions between them. I just absolutely loved this and would definitely recommend this to a fantasy romance fan!

The is a sweet quick witchy read. It's got great elements of a low romantasy story set in modern day with paranormal entities. Like witches and wolves. It has great chemistry and fated mates and is a broody and sunshine romance. If you are looking for a quick gateway into romantasy this is a great place to start. Enjoy.
