Even though it was a novella - it still felt too long with the writing.
It wasn't my favorite - felt like a lot of miscommunication that was unnecessary. The plot also had a lot of conflict that we're thrown into that made little sense, or what seemed like plot points that never got resolution (i.e. her not being able to do magic).
Overall cute - probably would have been rated higher if I hadn't just read two 5 star novellas that had me feral.

Writing is positively juvenile. If you ignore the inconsistencies in the characters or story then it is a fun quick read i suppose. But honestly would not recommend. I think what upsets me most about this is that the reading feels like this is the first draft of a new writer with no one to beta read the book, only to find out after the fact that this isnt their first book. Dont fall for the tiktok, the tiktok baits you and then the book severely under delivers.

It feels like reading an amatuer ao3 story. A thin plot with predictable tropes. 3 explicit scenes in the back half of the story. Grammar and spelling mistakes throughout that are distracting. Improper formatting and even missing words in places.
