this was a solid 3 stars until the back end- the beginning was fun and readable and then suddenly the last few chapters and the epilogue felt like they were added on without anyone alpha/beta reading them. i’d be interested to read more from the author though, as up until then i’d enjoyed it

All vanilla, no knot.
⚠️Heavy spoilers ahead⚠️
Please note this is NOT a review of the author or all her work but a single book I didn't enjoy:
The story takes place over a week or less in total. So it would qualify as an instamate even though there is like a day or two between them getting together and when it first happens. Main characters are Netti and Conner.
It was about as vanilla as you can get with werewolf shifter book. Missionary, no knotting, relied more on magic for answers than wolfish primal play. No breeding. No pregnancy/pups.
There was a lack of original ideas/plot and a lot of details we didn't need, aka "showing, not telling" esp in the first few chapters. Repetitive paragraph and sentence structures.
There didn't seem to be a satisfying ending to Net's magic block as a witch. Like it could have been that when he claimed her with the bite it unlocked her magic but no. She just didn't seem to care and was gonna go into business with him and the pack as a dept head nurse.
He was a billionaire but seemed to have a massive lack of funds some how??? Like he was really concerned about bottom line with a potential business person for some reason.
She has a familiar fruit bat, Honey, but it doesn't do anything but growl once and sit on her head around her space buns. It doesn't help with anything at all. That's a pet, not a familiar. A familiar is a spirit that can take any form that is willing to help and if needed die to protect you. A familiar is not a pet.
The fight for alpha position was less climatic then the car crash (ch7) earlier in the book. Yes, even with the brother wanting to hand it over it could have been done better.
The magical mental collection should have been explored more. Like glitches, flashes of things they see and those cause drama for the characters.
I needed more rage.
More knots.
More spice.
More... more.
Did I like anything? Yes. I like the idea of a magical bakery with spells in scones and drinks. Super cute. I liked the idea of a bat familiar even if poorly written. I liked Netti's name and when she was called Nettle endearingly. I liked the quote, "Mr. Hotshot grumpy pants."
Smut Point Spoilers:
Ch4 Boner
Ch7 Mental connection masterbation
Ch10 Missionary
Ch14 Head for N, masterbation for N, riding, mate mark, missionary
Epilogue Missionary.

It was ok. Not written very well and a lot of forced drama.

The story went too fast for me, kinda like insta love which I'm finding I'm not a big fan of. I liked the fated mates aspect and each character was interesting. Id love to find out more about carter and rosemary. The flipped text message boxes was also a little annoying
