Not one of her best books. I figured out major twists very early on and I think the plot struggled by being tied to one, isolated character.

Quite different from other books I've read by this author. This one feels more like an action thriller than an atmospheric mystery à la Agatha Christie, reading more like a summer blockbuster where plausibility takes a back seat to the action sequences. At times, the characters’ behavior feels unnatural and the events are implausible — which, to some extent, might be fitting for the genre — but it’s not something I personally prefer. The narration is solid enough, but repetitive, and the ending is a bit bland and predictable. All in all, it's still a quite enjoyable read.
