Another great read (listen for me) by Natalie Haynes! A really thorough and incisive examination of women in Ancient Greek mythology that really showcases why mythology “retellings” are so popular and important.

So, it was not what I originally expected coming of the heels of Circe and Daughters of Sparta, but it was a great read in its own way. I thought it was going to be another retelling of the myths from a female perspective, but it was an in-depth exploration of the almost always sidelined women of all the stories. This is me as a woman telling all my women friends to read this. It is more than just a look into the minds and hearts of women of Greek mythology; it explores the hearts and minds of all womankind.
