As far as Christmas and food goes, this book definitely got you in the spirit, but on the romance side Santa is calling out, "NO NO NO." Bland build-ups and whiny, jealous men make this a frustrating read. Check out my full review over at Forever Young Adult.

Hallmark Christmas type book...loved the London descriptions

slow-paced
- Loveable characters? It's complicated
- Diverse cast of characters? No

It was to slow and boring for me

Cute typical Christmas story. 2 different (related) stories in one. I’m still not sure both were necessary and added a lot to one another (other than length to the book). Nothing mind-blowing, not a page turner. Fun easy read if you are looking for something hallmark-ish to read at Christmastime.

The London scenery is the only reason I did not give this book one star. It started off as a nice fluffy read, but the characters became hard to like and the descriptions became repetitive and the metaphors annoying.

For me with Anita Hughes books, there is no in between, I either love them or completely dislike them. This one just didn't work for me. There were two female leads - Louisa and Kate. Louisa, I just couldn't understand nor like. Kate was fine, but wasn't enough to overcome my dislike of Louisa.
Louisa is plucked out of obscurity when she is working late in a bakery in New York. She is asked to fill in for a famous chef and fly to London to film a show. Kate is a producer on that show and needs this show to go well to ensure her job. But she will run into her past in London and will have to make some decisions.
