This was such a neat way to show the history of the Chinese language, as well as breaking down separate language groups, linguistic rules, and how you can understand the way Chinese has worked.

I was initially very distrustful of this concept, because it seemed at first glance that it would be playing into the (incorrect) assumption that Chinese characters are ideogrammatic, but thankfully a second glance was enough to clarify that that is not, in fact, the case.
