This was ok and I enjoyed it, though it was less epic in scope than I was expecting for Atalanta. To be fair, women in Greek mythology are often relegated to supporting roles, many times only there to prop up their male counterparts. Some alterations to the more traditional mythology are made here, but nothing that I found egregious. I enjoyed seeing the quest for the Golden Fleece from her perspective, though it often felt she was just a spectator to the quest, rather than engaging in it (thanks, Madea!) I am giving this 3 stars because I want to support both Greek Mythology retellings and strong female characters. This does have some nicely told elements, is clearly written and has very strong fight scenes, but it also has a lot of filler scenes and it drags at points.
