I was thoroughly frustrated through the majority of this book. It was an interesting, ok story. Overall I liked Abby, though there were times I wanted to shake her. A true young adult going into the world for the first time, the author did a great job of portraying what this time in your life is really like. I did enjoy the angst she had with both Nate and Jack. The story of Josephine and the project to unravel her mystery were delightful. There was zero spice in the book, and while there was decision angst between Nate and Jack, it was obvious what the right answer was throughout the entire book, and it took entirely too long to come to a conclusion. Lee was phenomenal as a character, very much enjoyed.

I struggled a bit with this one but in the end I really did enjoy it. The ending was exactly what I wanted so I was very much happy when I finished the book.

Girl Abroad did not feel like one of Elle's usual books but it was nonetheless enjoyable. I loved Lee.
