I went into this story blind and honestly I was pleasantly surprised with how much I enjoyed it! I am not a fan of history, or research for that matter, so the mystery of the painting was kind of silly to me. But I understand how it fit in with the story and Abbey’s college studies. I absolutely loved the library attendant and I’m so glad he and Abbey became great friends!! Hugh ending up with him was perfect!! As far as the love triangle, I loved both Nate and Jack, but I do think Abbey made the right choice! The flatmates were hilarious and all the side characters also fit into the story well! Even with the dad drama, Abbey honestly handled her emotions much better than I would have at 19! Another cute story by Elle Kennedy. I love her humor and am a fan!

Very cute college romance — Abbey moves to London for a year abroad and discovers that her flatmates are all dudes with gender-ambiguous names instead of the girls she thought they were (oops.) She solves a history mystery for a term paper (feels like that’s a little more than undergrad-level stuff but OK) and runs into a ridiculous number of lords and rock stars (where are the ordinary middle-class English folks in stories?!) Also there’s a love triangle that lasts for way too long — the book is divided by months and I figured out who I was in love with by like December but it took Abbey until April. Overall though I enjoyed the story enough to give it five stars.

Ein Buch, dass mich nicht losgelassen hat. Ich habe lieber gelesen, als wichtigere Sachen zu machen. Ich bin richtig in die Welt von Abbey eingetaucht und freue mich über ihre Entscheidung und Entdeckungen am Ende des Buches. Ein tolles Happy End. Das Einzige, was ich mir vielleicht noch gewünscht hätte, wären mehr Konversationen - wenn auch nebensächlich - mit ihrer besten Freundin.
