Read it in one sitting. I loved the perspective into Warners mind and his motivations and his own history behind everything. I also loved seeing why he loved Juliette and his relationship with his father and Dealieu. Overall really good little novella and ties well with Shatter Me.

I read this last month. I remember that I loved it. I remember that I am head over heels in love with Warner because of it. And that reading this is a necessity if you want to read the Shatter Me series. And that is all that my three brain cells can recall. (P.S Please do not think that this was a forgettable book, I just have the memory of a goldfish.)

My heart, gosh!!!!!!
In this amazing novella we see Aaron Warner's point of view. His feelings toward Juliett. We feel his grief and despair. The book is soooooooo amazing I literally didnt want to put it down at all. The description is fire. It touched my heart in all ways. The romance is fire. Everything is fire. _I'm in love!!!

Aaron Warner's POV of the events after "Shatter Me", about a hundred pages of insight on his story and literal obsession with Juliette, why he captured her, his twisted love for her etc. It's good because it was written from Warner's perspective, but it is a novella (no real conflict/plot), so I probably will be skipping the other short stories (the one written by Adam is not on my TBR). Still, a good and short lil expose on the main "villain" of the series.

I guess this book was a novella for a reason. But I personally feel like it added no value to the series whatsoever; I disliked Warner from the first book so if this “book” wasn’t part of the first instalment (literally part of the first book), I don’t think I would go out of my way to read it.

Even the ending wasn’t enough of a cliffhanger for me to want to consider reading the rest of the series. Refer to my review on the first book for more information.

I feel like I've been gaslighted by a book to make me believe that an obsessive, narcissistic and manipulative bastard actually has a soul. Warner is like Joe Goldberg trying to convince himself that a woman he barely knows is his soulmate.
