Justice for Simon, one of the best of the Wallflower love interests! He doesn’t kidnap anyone, for one thing.
I’ve read both the original and the revised version. While in other instances I totally support Kleypas’ revisions (like removing the g-slur from Hathaways), in this case I think the edits were very weird. A critical scene is removed entirely from the beginning of the book; it’s a scene which adds a lot of necessary context and characterization. So I definitely recommend trying to track down the original in this case.
