I liked this book a lot. Seeing the relationship between the wallflowers was fun. I liked how Annabelle was not weak and had a lot of agency in the story and I liked how Simon was shown to be caring and thoughtful as the story went on.
I think I just needed this book in my life at this point in time. I loved almost every minute of it. I can see why people think Annabelle is annoying, BUT she grew as a character for me and loved the chemistry between her and Simon. Great start to this series.

Historical Romance. I usually don't delve into this genre, but I wanted a fun read, and Kleypas delivered. Book was a lot better than I expected.

This was a good Historical Romance novel. Nothing stood out too much in my mind, but it was entertaining enough that I want to continue the series.
