Never read a Goldilocks retelling before. It was definitely interesting. Enjoyed the interactions among the brothers--wish we could have seen more of that but I get why we didn't. If you're a fan of sweet fairytale retellings, check this one out.

Such a fun book!

This was the first Goldilocks and the three bears retelling I’ve encountered and it hit the mark. It had all the right elements while still being its own story.

The characters did have a love at first week romance. But this is romantasy so I expected that.

There was a good bit of humor and that honestly just made the story better.

This was such a fun take on the classic story! Sweet and steamy, this fast-paced retelling is easy to read with likeable main characters and some interesting twists along the way!

Whilst some people will love the fast-paced romance, I'm more an "agonisingly slow-paced" kind of girl, and found this a bit quick for me—but again, very personal tastes.

(Also the cover is gorgeous... just putting that out there!)

I really enjoyed BARED MAGIC, a delightful Goldilocks retelling with magic, curses, were-shifters and more. Wynne is a siphon, a half-human, half-fae who can drain the curses of others. If anyone finds out about her abilities, she’ll be enslaved or worse, which leads her on a mad flight through the forest to a cabin owned by three bear-shifters. I loved the bear-shifter guys. They were such great guys. The cabin was cozy and wonderfully described in a fairy tale way, with venison stew bubbling on the stove, spices in jars and just a cozy atmosphere. I loved the chemistry between Wynne and Callum. The world-building and magic systems were nicely fleshed out and I liked the way we learned more about other characters in the world like Rowan (who I hope features in a future book!) as Wynne gets in to trouble at a point and is forced to find allies. Highly recommended for lovers of fairy tale retellings and fantasy romance. I will be eagerly anticipating book two! 5/5 stars.

This was my first time reading a Goldilocks retelling and it was so cute. It was exciting, romantic, and fast paced; an absolute joy to read.

It was such a quick, fun read for me and I can’t wait to read more stories in this world.

I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

I wasn’t sure what to expect from a Goldilocks-inspired story, but this was a good read! I especially look forward to the next book after the hints the author left. My only qualms were that the romance seemed to blossom a little too quickly and easily (personal preference), and the characters spent a lot of time passing out, sleeping, and waking up (part of it is to be expected due to a curse one character has). Neither took away from the enjoyment of the story though!
