Great ending

I would’ve given this book 3 stars but the ending bumped it to four. Gives you a lot to think about in terms of marriage and children.
slow-paced

What a waste of my time. This has to be one of the worst books I have ever read. It was incredibly boring, and the characters' endless monologues were so senseless and useless. I wasted so much time reading that I was determined to see it through. I wish I hadn't.

This book could have been a 1 star if half the story was cut out. Olive has to be the most annoying & boring character I have ever had the displeasure of reading. With so many pages[too many, way, way too many] of her dialogue and thoughts and she still had no personality.

I skimmed the last chapter and epilogue. [Who has a 9,000 page epilogue??] I'm going to watch this book disappear into the recesses of my brain and never think of it again. I'll remember the author so I can ensure never to read anything she writes again.

This book sucked, wish I DNF’d after the first 100 pages like I wanted to. Starts slow and kinda boring. Took about 150 pages to get kinda good and then the ending kills all of the good it had.
Just a book about trying to find a completely unlikeable mom who was such a shitty and selfish person she left her husband and teenage daughter to mourn her “tragic death” while she enjoys living a new life in Europe.

Let me save you time (358 pages or 13hr audio). An insufferable woman does something really crappy to her undeserving family. The end

I liked the plot, which had some unexpected twists and turns. I had some trouble connecting with characters and felt like there were too many "issues" crammed into the novel. The ending was satisfying.

I liked reading about this and I would probably fall in love with Billie, too.

Compelling look at womanhood, motherhood, identity. A quick read and I really loved the ending (no spoilers).
