Sassy, simple, sensational. All words to describe Lynn Painter’s Mr. Wrong Number. This captivating rom-com was everything I desire for a 5-star read. Between the witty conversations both via text and in person and the indescribable chemistry, these characters made the book the masterpiece it is.

Perhaps my favorite thing about this book was the realistic setting and relationships the characters had. Our female main character, Olivia is known for having extremely bad luck (she burned down an apartment complex by accident) and while the situations she is put in are horribly embarrassing, they all make sense and could happen to anyone on a daily basis.

Another aspect I love is the humorous banter between Olivia and our male main character, Colin. Never once did I read something that made me cringe or feel cliche. Every word felt organic and special and I believe that is the beauty in ALL of Lynn Painter’s captivating novels.

I would recommend this book to seasoned romance readers who are looking for a light fluffy romance with captivating story lines. This book is written in such a beautiful way and I think having read books that aren’t written this well made me enjoy it even more. There is some sexually explicit content but it is a door half closed romance so nothing too intense or heavy. There is also a second act breakup, so if you do not enjoy those aspects in a novel then I suggest looking into another one of Lynn Painter’s amazing books.

very cute ! but it didn’t feel like a standout - the relationship progressed in a fun way and their banter was always interesting but i felt the characters were a bit underwhelming

3.5
I had a real love hate relationship with this book! Olivia annoyed the shit out of me to start with, but I think that’s just down to me not being a fan of those ‘ditzy/clumsy’ type girls, but she definitely grew on me when she didn’t seem to be all about that. I loved her relationship with her brothers, it was like a ‘you annoy me/But I’ll always have your back’ relationship. Her mum was awful, especially in the last chapter, like why would you put your own child down that much. I loved Olivia and Colin together they were cute but colin just seemed bland, like it felt like we didn’t get much out of him, you could definitely tell his feelings for her. The ending really annoyed me, like everything that happened was literally resolved in like 3 pages and then the book ended

Honestly? Lowkey obsessed THE BANTER THE CHEMISTRY
