An anti war cri de coeur, it is a strongly ideological work of literary fiction. I don’t believe the author had had any war experience himself when he wrote it nor any experience with disability. So, despite its urgency and best intentions, the lack of either endow the novel a sense of fancy and hyperbole. A compelling read, all the same, that ends with quite a punch.

It was a good and uniquely written book that really got it's point across. There were some good lines within the novel that really struck home. I liked the way it is written as if it were a non-stop tangent than the story being written in a more traditional way. It reads as if you're the one who is having the panic attack. It is panicked and all over the place and seem to be run-on thoughts.
I didn't really have a huge connection to the main character and I'm not sure why. As he was the only character in the book (essentially), it was a little hard to give a higher rating without that. It was a very well written book and I think others should read it, but that was the downfall for me.
Also, very little happens in general. Once you think that yes! Something happened! It doesnt.
