I got a third of the way through it before stopping. It's very gory/graphic and I'm too squeamish. I didn't enjoy it.

The book was emotionally charged and written like a stream of consciousness, which was at times hard to follow. However, it forced one to really put themselves in that world the character was experiencing and I found myself feeling some rather intense emotions imagining if this were me. The quote on the back of the book stands true, "we defy anyone to remain unmoved by this novel!"

I listened to this book one morning, just something to pass time as I suffered through severe jet-lag. What was started as “just to pass time” has haunted me since over finished it.
So essential. Especially with what’s going on with the world now. Completely shattered me and really honestly ruined my day !

Without a doubt one of the best books I have ever read. I don't know that I would ever re-read it, though. I listened to the audiobook, which was simultaneously a great and awful choice; the first person narration lends itself perfectly to the medium, and the story truly comes alive. This book is as beautiful as it is terrifying.
