Not believable. They go from physical attraction to love in 2.2 seconds. All while he’s guiltily still in love with his wife. Why were they in love? How did they fall in love? Why did Wren think she had the authority to demand anything from him when he never showed or acted as he had any in any interest in her?

I usually enjoy slow-burn romance books, but this was so dull. There was no depth and chemistry between the main characters. I don't know how the main characters were able to develop feelings with each other because nothing was happening. Where's the yearning? The pining? The tension? The writing is overdescriptive and monotonous. It lacks the ability to convey emotions, making it hard to connect with the story. I was so bored; I fell asleep while reading it.

Emotional but a little clunky compared to other books of hers I’ve read.

Slice of life trauma romance? This book had me crying in a coffee shop, a feat in itself. My only regret was reading the entirely unnecessary epilogue. I just prefer more ambiguity than this left with me.
