I thought the premise of this book sounded promising. I do feel like I was let down a little bit in terms of the romance. There wasn't as much as I was expecting going into this. I felt like there could have been more development by the midpoint between Anders and Wren. I did enjoy the last ~30% more than the rest of the book.

The writing was good for the most part, but I have to subtract a star for the storm scene toward the beginning of the book; it was completely unrealistic. Apart from the descriptions leading me to believe the author has never been to southern Indiana and the MC's repetitive mention of the character's eyes being flawed because of heterochromia, it was a good story.
