I loved this book!!! The story, the characters..all of it. It’s so real and honest, the kind of book that makes you feel like you’re living inside it. Julia’s journey, shifting between past and present, is written so seamlessly that you step right into her shoes, feeling every emotion alongside her without even realizing it.

The emotions, the relationships, the complexities of life, it all felt so natural and deeply human. There’s something about Claire Lombardo’s writing that makes the characters feel like real people, flaws and all. I was completely invested, and even when nothing huge was happening, I couldn’t stop reading.

I was fully absorbed in this book, and when I finished, I needed a moment to just sit with it and take it all in. It’s raw, real, and beautifully character driven storytelling. I loved it!!

As soon as Helen’s son was introduced I knew she would cheat with him
Already found Julia annoying and I just couldn’t continue

At times slow or overwritten, with less dimensionality than I may have wanted, but I can't deny I was hooked on reading the story of Helen and Julia and their families!
