I enjoyed this little book a lot more than I thought I would. I am not familiar with St Augustine at all and was not particularly interested in the author's sneaky criticism of the Catholic Church. But Floria's story is so full of wit and love and goofy Latin puns that it's definitely a win for me. There are many bits and pieces in there that I consider quotable and to which I want to go back to. Plus, despite being dated 1600 years ago, I still found it oddly relatable when it comes to dealing with men who think themselves philosophers.

Absolute genius. The sort of thing everyone should read and really soak in.

I like the underlying message of the book, I just kinda wish it was longer and had less quotes directly from the book. Like, they could all be footnotes.

Ups.
