I don’t think this book was bad i just didn’t find it interesting.
Usually I can read and enjoy children’s books but I think this is the rare occasion where it just didn’t capture me.
I loved the illustrations and some of the words were cute (people pal)
Not much happened in it but it’s a dog diary how much can a dog really do. Overall I think this would be good for younger audiences but not something I’d read again

My 9 year old son and I read this book together. He absolutely loved it and is eagerly awaiting book 2. This book is filled with humor. I think that he especially enjoyed the puns since he has recently started coming up with his own puns. I would recommend this book to readers that have enjoyed Captain Underpants and Diary of a Wimpy Kid.
