Review for All Things Bright and Beautiful: I recently watched All Creatures Great & Small on Masterpiece & wanted to read some of the stories that inspired the show.
All Thing Bright & Beautiful was incredible. I read a condensed version in this Reader’s Digest Condensed Book. They no longer make these unfortunately, but I borrowed some from my grandma.
This series tells the stories of James Harriot, a farm veterinarian in Northern England throughout the 20th Century. Harriot is an incredible story teller. His writing is so visual & his tone is hilarious. I found myself laughing out loud several times throughout. The show was amazing & the stories are even better! I plan to read a few more of these, condensed & otherwise & can’t wait to hear more about his adventures.
I highly recommend these stories for animal lovers
