Read as single issues.

I really enjoyed this Secret Wars tie-in! This story felt the most fleshed out of all the tie-ins I read.

A fun take on the "multiple worlds" theme, with Thors as cops. I didn't know who many of the Thors were (maybe nobody does), but this wasn't such a big deal, as the few that I needed to recognize, I did.
I enjoyed the mystery, and the part Loki and Odinson played. Fortunately, I'd just talked with a friend the day before, and he told me how Battleworld was formed, so all the "Doom" stuff wasn't too confusing.
Ultimately, a fun little story with a satisfying conclusion.
The frog thing easily knocked a star off.
If you don't have enough content to fill a book of a certain length, make a shorter book, rather than including dross to pad it.

The first 3 issues were awesome. It had a Lethal Weapon 2 or a Law & Order vibe to it. It was super fun watching Thors as cops. Issue 4 fell flat. That was when things got wrapped up and they had to tie into Secret Wars. Take away the tie in and this is a 5. A nice bonus at the end with 2 issues of the classic Thor the Thunder Frog by the greatest Thor creative team of all time Walter Simonson!

The best way to kill the momentum of a story about a kickass female Thor is to completely remove her from the story. I get that these were tied into Secret Wars, but what a baffling decision to hide away Jane Foster for almost the entire series.

Probably the best book to come out of Secret Wars, Thors is a police procedural where every police officer is a Thor. There's Odinson Thor, Ultimate Thor, Beta Ray Bill, Storm, Throg (the Thor Frog), Tree Thor (a Groot), and a ton of other versions of Thor. The case? Someone is killing multiple versions of the same person across Battleworld, and they've got to solve the case before God Doom gets angry. You wouldn't like him when he's angry. But you wouldn't like him any other time, either.

Aaron was in the midst of a near decade long run on various Thor titles when he wrote this, so the characters are all well-defined, and fun. Solving the mystery isn't the point, the point is having fun with the characters, so don't be shocked when you figure out what's happening before the Thors do.

I recommend this to any Thor enthusiast, fan of the Secret Wars ideas, or anyone who enjoys fun with multiple versions of the same character.

I don't know why I think Asgard justice runs on the weregild, and not on due process, but DEEP DOWN I believe Asgard justice is all about the weregild. I suppose it's possible to have both weregild and homicide cops in the same system but . . . my suspension of disbelief can handle Frog Thor and Storm Thor and Doom as the big bad, but Thor: Homicide Forensic Dude? I struggle with that.

I also struggle with Battleworld. I keep thinking that's because I've barely scratched the surface. But I keep scratching away and not quite getting it.

There were some individually great lines and I am DELIGHTED to finally read Thor's heroic turn as frog. But this seemed like ephemera.
