Was actually good just really scary for little me, maybe I'll continue some day now that I'm older

Unlike many of the reviewers here I have read the
entire series (and in order), and I loved this one
as well.

It's another good (and gruesome) Joona Linna
thriller. It's rather too long (as most of
them are), and it does lag a bit in the middle,
but I always love a good serial killer story
and, man, what a great thriller ending!

This one does not have that much of Joona Linna
in it (disappointing), but the other characters
are interesting in just the same.

Recommended if you already like this series, or
are into serial killer stories.

Plot-twist after plot-twist. This book makes you question what you've read.

I went into the book, not knowing that it was the 5th book in a series, which essentially isn't the continuous sort, but even so.
I love thrillers to be fast, but of the late, I find myself enjoying the slow burn types as well. This one was definitely that.
I was intrigued by the amount of actual forensic psychiatric facts interspersed in the book, which may seem tedious for some people. And it's a very slow burn, along book, with each chapter shifting between POVs , which included that of the victims as well. It was graphic, I wouldn't say it otherwise. And hence, to those who want to go in, please bear that in mind. And it is very much an adult book.
I am not a huge fan of person life interfering in the narratives of thrillers, especially that of the investigators, which seems to be the case when the books are long and detailed. Thankfully, it wasn't too much like some other books I read last year, that it took the focus off of the plot and the reason for the book itself.
It was a good thriller, and I did not see the plotters coming in a million miles. The author throws in an occasional bone or two which made me think in a totally different direction.

Incredible. This book kept me guessing until the very end. The twists and turns were fantastic.
