This is my fourth Marquez book and the first one I've read in a few years.
I think it's also my least favorite.
It's a fine novella, but I think it's just something I've seen tackled better by a few people, like Kawabata and Tanizaki.
But, yeah, a 90 year old man who's spent his life paying for sex falls in love with a fifteen year old girl and has a chaste relationship. It's oddly beautiful but, you know, it's also a 90 year old falling in love with a teenager, so...
It's an interesting take on love, and it's something that probably would've worked better had it been twice as long.
Still worth reading, especially since there's not a ton of Marquez to run through. I forgot that, actually until I finished and I was wondering why I've read so few of his books. And I guess it's because he didn't write a lot of them, and I think that's why I keep spreading them out.
When you only have a few books from a beloved dead writer, you need to pace it right.

Un libro que no me convenció del todo, trataba de meterme al trama, pero nunca conseguí adaptarme, quizás porque fue uno de los primeros libros 'serios' que leí, también subestime mucho a este gran autor, y la historia no me marco tanto como otras. Probablemente lo vuelva a leer.
